Materials for Making your Leaf Bat Halloween Decoration

  • Two similar-shaped leaves – ones with jagged edges work well
  • A clothes peg
  • Black paint
  • Scissors
  • White marker pen or googly eyes (optional)

How to Make this Halloween Bat Craft

  1. If you need to, use scissors to shape your leaves into wings.
  2. Paint your peg and your leaves on one side, then leave to dry.
  3. Paint the other side of the peg and leaves, then leave to dry.
  4. Use your peg ‘body’ to fasten your leaves together, and add eyes at the top.

Ghost Craft for Kids

Materials for Making your Leaf Ghost

  • A leaf
  • White acrylic paint
  • Black marker pen or googly eyes
  • Sticky tape

How to Make your Ghost Leaf Craft with Kids

  1. Turn your leaf over and fold the top edges inwards to make a triangle shape. Stick the folded bits down with sticky tape.
  2. Paint the front of your leaf, then let it dry. You might need a second coat of paint.
  3. Draw or stick eyes on your painted leaf, then draw a mouth.

You can hang your decorations up with string, glue magnets on the back and stick them on the fridge, or simply use them to make your Halloween treat bowl extra-spooky!
