This crochet market tote is also eco-friendly, much kinder to the planet than plastic bags. You can re-use this tote bag for years to come. Its large size will hold all your supplies or groceries and is completely customizable. Change the color, make the strap longer or shorter, whatever you prefer!

This beginner-friendly free crochet market bag pattern uses 1 skein of yarn, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, the magic circle/ring, and also increasing and decreasing stitches. Magic circle/ring: To make a magic circle, wrap yarn around two fingers twice. Insert hook into middle of circle and sl st. Make 12 sc around circle. Pull on tail end of yarn to close opening & sew in end using yarn needle.

Row 1: Dc in each st around & sl st into first st of last row (12)

Strap

Note: For strap, do not remove hook from work or cut yarn, just continue working, as if it’s the next row
